Meet the Founders

At New England Sex Therapists, we believe that pleasure, deep intimacy, and sexual well-being are fundamental human rights—not privileges, luxuries, or topics to be spoken about in hushed tones.

Founded by Dr. Ashley Sweet and Dr. Danielle Armour, our sexual wellness collective was born out of a shared mission: to revolutionize how individuals and partners experience sex and relational health across New England and beyond. Together, we bring nearly four decades of combined experience as doctorally trained, AASECT-certified sex therapists, clinical sexologists, and somatic practitioners.

We combine clinical rigor with radical empathy and direct, transparent authenticity. You will never find cold clinical distance or outdated societal judgment here. Instead, we offer a grounded, nervous-system-informed space where you can drop the mask, de-program performance pressure, and reclaim your inherent capacity for connection.

Our Core Pillars:

  • Somatic Integration: Healing isn't just cognitive; it lives in the body. We integrate breathwork, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation into every therapeutic framework.

  • Radical Inclusivity: We actively celebrate and affirm all genders, sexual identities, and relationship structures—including monogamy, consensual non-monogamy, kink, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

  • Shame-Free Education: We provide the clear, evidence-based psychosexual education that school systems and cultural narratives left out.
